The method of estimating the accuracy based on comparison of three or four observation time series of some geophysical phenomenon is described. It is shown that due to modern space techniques significant progress has been achieved in length-of-day determinations during the period of 1982-1986. The combined solution based on four different observational techniques after removing the atmospherical and tidal effects is compared with accuracies of the individual techniques. The semiannual periodic variation in the unmodeled part of length-of-day with an amplitude of 0.10 msec is the consequence of incomplete modeling of geophysical processes. Of a similar nature are the variations for some periods under 180 days whose amplitudes are slightly above the level of accuracy of VLBI and SLR.
