The published photometric observations together with the photoelectric observations obtained at the observatories of Abastumani and Skalnate Pleso in 1977 - 1981 have been interpreted. The existing opinion of the light variations has been shown to be incorrect, and a secular increase of the orbital period in the observing interval as a whole has been proved. The possible causes of this effect are discussed. The conservative process of mass transfer in the system leads to the value 1.64 x 10 to the -7th solar mass/yr.
