We suggest a method of estimating the mass of a gravitational lens from its influence on the images of sources located behind it. We analyze the variation in the probability of observing images with a given flattening and orientation. For a specific sample of images, we determine the parameters of the lens for which the probability of observing a given distribution of flattening and orientation of images is highest. Our numerical modeling shows a high degree of accuracy in estimating the parameters by this method.
