New methods are suggested for distinguishing primary electrons above 10 to power 14 eV from other primaries based on their synchrotron radiation in the geomagnetic field. In addition, it is shown that the synchrotron gamma-ray emission from electrons above 5 X 10 to power 18 eV may be used to detect these electrons at distances up to 10 to power 15 from the earth with collection areas of about 10 to power 7 sq km.
