The study reports observations of (C-12)O J = 1-0 emission from 50 nearby spiral galaxies. This is part of a distance-limited survey of nearby systems which are not strongly interacting with their neighbors. The observations were performed during December 1988 and March 1990 using the NRAO 12-m telescope at Kitt Peak with the 3-mm SIS receivers and the 256-channel x 2-MHz spectrometers.
