We report on observations made of the high mass X-ray pulsator X
1538-522 using the Ginga X-ray astronomy satellite. A pulse arrival time
analysis, when combined with previous results, enables us to derive a
refined orbital solution, an improved upper limit on changes in the
orbital period and a new value for the pulse period.
