Photoelectric BVI observation of Large Magellanic Cloud (LMC) Cepheids are analyzed together with previous photoelectric BV measurements. It is found that a period-luminosity-color (P-L-C) relation gives a much better fit to the data than a period-luminosity (P-L) relation, at least for log P in the range from 0.9 to 1.7, and that the color term in the P-L-C relation is intrinsic rather than a result of differential interstellar reddening. Individual corrections for interstellar reddening are computed from the BVI values, and specific relations for mean dereddened B-V index are obtained. The former relation is fitted to galactic Cepheids in clusters and associations as well as to Cepheids with absolute magnitudes from radius determinations. A true distrance modulus of approximately 18.69 (corrected for abundance effects) is derived for the LMC from the P-L-C relation.
