Conspicuous abundance minima in chondrites at Z = 21 ( Sc ), Z = 22
( Ti ) and possibly Z = 31 (Qa) may be correlated with discontinuities
in the neutron-excess variation of principal isotopes of the elements.
Some of these discontinuities are clearly related to well-established
magic numbers (20 and 82, for example), but others are not.
