The velocity curve of the secondary of U Sagittae has been determined from out-of-eclipse observations of the NaD lines, the Ca II infrared triplet, and a 8806-A Mg I line of the secondary. All three types of line give a semiamplitude close to 200 km/s; the mean value is 209 + or - 5 km/s. The mass ratio and masses of the primary and secondary are: 2.99 + or - 0.08, 5.7 + or - 0.3 solar masses, and 1.9 + or - 0.1 solar masses, respectively. The secondary fills its Roche lobe.
