According to general astronomical experience practically all the observed stars are found in larger clusters called galaxies. These galaxies can be seen in large quantities, so statistical analysis is possible. In a universe of 15 billion years old there is no time for stars to spontaneously aggregate into galaxies. It seems that the only possibility is the opposite, i.e. that the galaxies are ancaestral stars. This is conform with the present cosmologic knowledge. In addition, contemporary theories suggest a global structure for at least the normal spiral galaxies.
