We propose to observe NGC1395, a low X-ray luminosity, "normal" elliptical (E2) galaxy with a rotation velocity of ~100 km/sec to address four fundamental questions. How much dark matter is in its halo? What is the source of the ``hard'' spectral component found in ASCA observations of elliptical galaxies? What are the heavy element abundances in the X-ray gas, what is the abundance distribution, and what do these imply about the supernova enrichment history? Do central cooling flows occur in low luminosity, rotating galaxies?
