The known stellar chromospheric activity indices RK and Delta FK and the index AK proposed by the present author (Teplitskaya) are compared with a new index WK, which is color-independent (Robinson et al., 1990). Teplitskaya has found that, for stars cooler than 5100 K, only the index AK is tightly correlated with W sub K.
