Hypersensitization techniques are utilized to improve sensitization efficiency of films at longer infrared wavelengths. Two new infrachromatic films, I-1240 and I-1370, were produced experimentally; spectral sensitivity curves for the films are presented. The procedures for evaluating monochromatic flux throughout the 4000-20,000 A range to an absolute accuracy of 1 percent are examined. Infrared solar spectrograms for the 11,600-12,800 A range are derived using the BST-2 telescope at the Crimean Observatory, USSR and segments of spectrograms are provided. The 10,000-13,000 A films are applicable for analysis of structures on the solar surface such as spots and facular fields.
