Using photometric data on blue supergiants and young globular clusters and data on the neutral hydrogen distribution it is found that the mean gas-to-dust ratio in M33 turns out to be NHI/EB-V ≈ 1.5×1021 atom/cm2mag. According to the low gas-to-dust ratio M33 differs considerably from other studied galaxies of the Local Group.
