Photoelectric observations during 1982-1984 indicate that the peculiar emission-line object He 2-467 was variable in all the U, B, V bands, especially U. The U - B fluctuation amplitude exceeds 1.5 m. A strong UV excess is present. He 2-467 is modeled as a binary system comprising a G giant and a hot subdwarf surrounded by a gaseous envelope or disk. The gas emits primarily continuum radiaiation, its emission lines being suppressed by self-absorption. The measured equivalent width of the H-alpha emission line and the object's position in the two-color diagram are consistent with this model.
