With this contribution we want to stress the interest of the data COROT will gather of stars showing magnetic activity variability. Some of them may even show solar-like oscillations. We will discuss the importance of correctly assessing the effects activity will have on the data and we will list some ideas on the open issues in these topics giving an overview of what COROT's data will have to say about them. We will also give a list of known targets in the field of view of COROT and will present an strategy for the identification of unknown targets.
