The authors present results of an H I survey of the Shapley Constellation III region associated with the supergiant loop H II region complex, LMC 4, in the northern part of the Large Magellanic Cloud. Three components are found, one associated with the disk H I with a mean VLSR = 285 km s-1, and the other two associated with shells of gas ejected above and below the plane of the LMC with an expansion velocity of 36 km s-1. Star formation appears to have started approximately 15 Myr ago near the center and has propagated outwards at a constant speed of 36 km s-1. The energetics of this whole region suggests that the cycle of star formation, ejection of gas to large z-heights in the plane, return of this gas, adjustment of the H I cloud size distribution and z-velocity dispersion, and the renewed onset of star formation represents a stochastic and self-limiting feedback process in the LMC.
