Direct observations of hydrogen peroxide in the atmosphere of Mars are rare. Few available observations and most 1D model simulations suggest an H2O2 column in the range 10 10cm or a mixing ratio in the lower atmosphere of nearly 10 30 ppb. Another estimate of the content of hydrogen peroxide in the atmosphere of Mars is given in this paper, using an atmospheric general circulation model with online chemistry. The simulations confirm the correlation between the amounts of water and hydrogen peroxide and predict an important role for condensation in the polar regions.
