In the present consideration of equilibrium figures in the form of thin rotating disks for modeling spiral galaxy flat components, analytical solutions are obtained for gravitational and magnetic fields at given distributions of area matter density and surface currents, and numerical solutions are obtained for a magnetized, nonrotating disk whose equilibrium is governed by the balance of magnetic and gravitational forces. The models are found to be unstable against short wave perturbations. Pressure, however, can contribute a few percent toward disk stabilization against such perturbations.
