Outflows in young stars are powered by accretion and modulated by magnetic fields. I will describe indicators of accretion as magnetospheric accretion flows and shocks and the ranges of mass accretion rates that these indicators yield. I then will describe indicators of outflows at different stages of accretion in young stars and the clues derived from these indicators as to the origin of the wind. Finally I will combine indicators to show the accretion-outflow connection.
