The polarization characteristics of Jensch coelostats are investigated by considering the the coelostat of the Solar Telescope of Operative Predictions (STOP) at the Saian Observatory. The theory of coelostats of this design is discussed, and all relations are given which are required for practical calculations of the conversion of Stokes parameters during the reflection of light from coelostat mirrors depending on the declination and the hour angle of the sun. Results of theoretical calculations of the instrumental polarization are illustrated with specific observations with STOP.
