Recent experimental work at Jefferson Laboratory and Mainz have used a variety of interesting new techniques to extract information about the nucleon elastic form factors G_E,M or F_1,2. The momentum transfers are sufficiently high Q^2>1 (GeV/c)^2, so that models of constituent structure must account for relativity. We focus on recent work (nucl-th/0201021) in which a relativistic constituent quark model is found to reproduce the recent data regarding the ratio of proton form factors, F_2(Q^2)/F_1(Q^2). We show that imposing Poincaré invariance leads to substantial violation of the helicity conservation rule, as well as an analytic result that the ratio F_2(Q^2)/F_1(Q^2) ~ 1/Q for intermediate values of Q^2. The possible implications of this model for other form factors and hadronic reactions are discussed.
