We have analyzed exclusive production of neutral and charged pions pairs in e^+e^- scattering of the center of mass energy near 10.6 GeV using the CLEO detector. We measured the cross section for such processes for the kinematic region where one of the final state electrons scatters at large angle. These cross sections are dominated by two-photon production and also have a sizeable contribution from deep inelastic Compton scattering in case of charged pions. We present preliminary results of our analysis and discuss the potential significance of our measurements.
