The planetary interior-state sensitivity of the f-mode oscillations of Saturn, which may be detected through their gravitational signature in the rings, are presently studied in light of the results of mode-period calculations for various interior models, envelope compositions, and hydrogen phase-transition pressures. It is established that the low-degree f modes exhibit the highest sensitivity to the size of the planetary core, while higher-degree modes exhibit greater sensitivity to the rotation state of the Saturn's outer layers.
