We present preliminary results on Chandra observatons of a sample of 20 soft X-ray weak quasars. The sources have been selected through a cross-correlation between a spectroscopically selected sample of quasars and the WGACAT catalogue of ROSAT pointed observations. These objects are on average redder than ``normal'', color-selected quasars, and underluminous in the ROSAT 0.1-2 keV band by a factor of 10 or more. Using Candra capabilities, it is possible to understand whether these peculiar properties are due to an intrinsically different Spectral Energy Distribution or to heavy absorption of a normal optical-X-ray primary emission.
