We have measured the top cross section using Run 1b data at the Tevatron with CDF in an analysis using exclusively kinematic variables. This measurement is unique in that the identification of b quarks is not required. Using an Artificial Neural Network the kinematic variables were combined into a single discriminating parameter. After background removal, we used this parameter to extract the number of top and Standard Model background events, and thereby determined the tbart cross section. The result is in good agreement with our previous measurement using b identificaiton, and achieves a comparable precision with different systematics.
