The present study investigates decameter radiation from the Jovian southern hemisphere statistically from 95 events. From the variation of the intensity with time and frequency, the occurrence in the Io-CML plane and the spectral characteristics of the left-hand emissions are examined. It is shown that the Io-controlled emissions IoA and IoD are associated with vertex-early arcs, and IoC with VLA. Non-Io-controlled emissions are observed only in the non-Io A-C region; they have the same dynamic spectra (VLA) as Io-controlled emissions. The HF limit of the left-hand polarized radiation is usually between 18 and 25 MHz, for both Io and non-Io events. Left-hand radiation has never been observed at frequencies higher than 25 MHz, implying that the maximum field strength in Jupiter's southern hemisphere is approximately 9 Gauss.
