The CELESTE gamma ray telescope collects atmospheric Cherenkov light using 53 heliostats of the former solar facility "Themis", in the French Pyrennees. The CAT Cherenkov imager operates at the same site.We present measurements of the flux from Mrk 421 obtained with both instruments in March 2000 which we use to constrain the Inverse Compton peak of this blazar's spectral energy distribution. Combining this information with BeppoSAX measurements of the synchrotron peak position allows us to constrain the physical parameters of the blazar in a simple Synchrotron Self Compton framework. We further present the results of searches for other blazars in this previously unexplored energy range.
