Using UV observations at 2000 A, the ultraviolet luminosity function (ULF) and surface distribution are determined for galaxies in a circular field of 2.18 square degrees (50 arcmin radius) centered on the Coma cluster. In the UV-band, the bright end of the ULF is highly dominated by Irr-Sp-type galaxies, and the surface distribution shows low central concentration. Therefore the Coma cluster, often taken as the archetype of the elliptical-rich and concentrated cluster, has the appearance of a spiral-rich and low concentration cluster in the UV-band.
