The innermost parts of luminous accretion disks in AGN are generally dominated by radiation pressure. In addition to the well-known secular instabilities which depend on an assumed turbulent stress prescription, these regions are also subject to numerous robust dynamical instabilities. We present a comprehensive linear treatment of such instabilities, exploring how radiative diffusion and radiation pressure both modify convective and magnetorotational instabilities, and are also the drivers of photon bubble and MHD wave instabilities.
