The use of underdense plasmas to accelerate efficiently particles has
been recently demonstrated. Such scheme as Laser Wake Field, Laser Beat
Wave and Self Modulated Laser Wake Field, which were first theoretically
investigated have now been experimentally improved. An overview of these
results as well as some perspectives will be presented here. .
