Consideration is given to the use of kinematic and photometric data to determine the axial ratios of a triaxial bulge. The method is applied to the (Sa) spiral NGC 4845, where recent observations suggest that the emission-line velocity field in the bulge region is very regular but not axisymmetric. It is shown that NGC 4845's velocity field is very well fitted by the gas velocity field in a triaxial potential, and that this determines the axial ratios of the bulge: b/a = 0.74 + or - 0.06 and c/a = 0.60 + or - 0.06. These values are consistent with photometric data for this galaxy. Extensions of the method to elliptical galaxies are briefly discussed.
