Exact solutions to an equation describing radiative transfer in a line are found under the following assumptions: a frequency redistribution function of R(II-A), a large optical depth, and nonconservative scattering. Explicit solutions for point and planar sources are presented for a homogeneous infinite medium and halfspace. For a layer of finite optical depth, expansions corresponding to weakly and strongly dissipative media are obtained.
