The spectroscopic study of about 400 southern planetary nebulae observed from 1984 to 1986 with the IDS system at the European Southern Observatory is reported. Line intensities relative to H-beta = 100 are given in the spectral range 400-700 nm for a selection of nebulae showing a number of lines sufficient for plasma analysis. A numerical code interprets the spectra by using the lines as plasma diagnostics; the excitation class, reddening correction, electron temperature and density are computed for the 93 selected nebulae.
