New stellar evolution calculations for a 20-solar mass star of average LMC composition are presented. The dependence of the evolutionary track in the HR diagram upon the semiconvective efficiency parameter, alpha, is examined. It is found that the star evolves to a blue supergiant configuration before explosion if alpha is between 0.05 and 0.008, while the star explodes as a red supergiant for alpha greater than 0.1 or less than 0.005.
