The description in Sect. 2 of this paper suggests that the supernova-driven wind models are constructed by assuming the same binding energy {OMEGA}_G_ [Eq.(1)], radius R_G_[Eq. (2)], and density ρ[Eq.(3)] for proto-galaxies as those obtained by Saito (1979) for spheroidal systems at the present epoch. The numerical results shown, however were obtained by assuming 2R_G_ as radii of the proto-galaxies; correspondingly, the adopted binding energy and density for proto-galaxies were {OMEGA}_G_/2 and ρ/8 respectively. The use of these dynamical properties for proto-galaxies is based on the following consideration: On the assumption that spheroidal systems are formed through dissipationless collapse and that there total masses have been conserved from the proto-galaxy phase to the present epoch, the systems with initially no kinetic energy attain the virial equilibrium by reducing their radii to half the initial values. The authors are grateful to Drs. L. Angeletti and P. Giannone for making them aware of this modification.
