The detecting efficiency should be regarded as an important performance of a photon-detecting system. Many photon-detecting systems show obviously lower detecting efficiency than that expected, due to the leakage. In this paper the author has investigated the reason of count leakage, proposed some methods to eliminate it, and furthermore, developed a new high efficient photon-counting system with detecting efficiency over 95%.
