Attention is given to the distribution of the counts from galactic compact X-ray sources and that of gamma rays observed by SAS-II and OSO-III. It is pointed out that it would be premature to conclude that the gamma-ray flux observed by SAS-II and OSO-III is the result of a superposition of sources. If X-ray sources are distributed along the spiral arms, their gamma-ray flux would have the same geometry as that resulting from cosmic ray collisions.
