Results of BV(RI)_c CCD photometry of the bright supernova SN 1999by in
the flocculent galaxy NGC 2841 are presented. The Multicolor Light-Curve
Shape (MLCS) method is applied to fit the observed V lightcurve around
its maximum-light period. The reddening and the luminosity correction
parameters were estimated.
