Broadband power spectra and color-color diagrams made from EXOSAT archive data of 14 x ray binaries are discussed. The aperiodic (noise) variability of the sources is studied. All the x ray pulsars present in the sample show strong noise components in their emission, with a fractional variability between 20 and 30 percent. The power spectrum of each of the pulsars is investigated individually. Twelve are High Mass X ray Binaries (HMXB) and two are Low Mass X ray Binaries (LMXB). Correlations between the variations and other characteristics of the sources are analyzed.
