Observations of ducted magnetospheric long delayed echoes were obtained between 1985 and 1988 using a standard ionospheric absorption monitor transmitter with a peak power of 17 kW and a pulse width of 150 microsec. The probability of occurrence of such echoes at latitude -43 deg is found to be greatest near 2 MHz and during years of low sunspot activity. Results are presented for the variations in the probability of receiving the echoes with location, frequency, and time.
