Velocity and intensity oscillations in the umbra of a sunpot (leader of group 1982 observed on May 28, 1982) were measured in the chromospheric H and K II lines. Power spectra calculated for nine locations along the umbra show the predominance of 5-min oscillations in one part of the umbra and the presence of oscillations with periods of about 3 min and 80 sec in another part. The observed phenomenon appears to be an intermediate process between umbral flashes and chromospheric velocity oscillations.
