Phase distributions of Fe in lunar olivines were determined using the method of Zemcik and Raclavsky (1976), which made it possible to obtain Moessbauer spectra of individual 0.2-0.3-mm particles in lunar-regolith samples. It was found that the distribution of iron in lunar olivines cannot be characterized statistically. Olivines obtained from both the lunar-maria and highland regions were found to be characterized by similar T-P(O2) conditions of formation.
