Light-synthesis analysis of new u, y, and I observations of CC Com indicates a secular change in q, Omega, and the contact-system filling factor. Even if the implied secular trend is only a temporary light-curve anomaly, the current filling factor, 4.4 percent, is so small that good thermal contact is in peril. The secondary component currently behaves as if good thermal contact exists. The calculated change in q implies a corresponding period change, on conservative mass transfer, that is ruled out by the observations. The light-curve changes, assumed to arise from gas streams or surface activity, mimic changes in q and Omega. This result implies the need for caution in accepting photometric q values.
