The time evolution of MeV Pi exp 0 decay gamma-rays that is due to cascading in the material of the supernova shell is calculated. The cascading significantly alters the gamma-ray production spectrum, generates gamma-ray fluxes in the 1-10 MeV range, and creates strong signatures that are characteristic of the overall column density and the structure of the shell. For cosmic-ray luminosity of 10 to the 39th erg/s the gamma-ray fluxes above 3 MeV are well above the GRO sensitivity.
