A kinetic description is used to obtain the sound wave velocity in an electron-positron plasma at relativistic temperatures. Results of previous studies are generalized by including the total pressure of the plasma. The present results are not affected by the pressure of a heavier neutral, charged elementary particles or nucleon-antinucleon pairs.
