The high-velocity, Population II subdwarf Mu Cassiopeiae is an astrometric binary for which observational data yield P = 21.43 years, a photocentric semiaxis major of 0.186 + or - 0.001 arcsec, and a relative parallax 0.130 + or - 0.001 arcsec. The best tentative values of Delta-m and separation suggest a main-component mass of 0.7 solar mass and a secondary-component mass of 0.2 solar mass, with Delta-m of about 4.5, all of which indicate higher He content for Mu Cas A than for the sun. The masses are of interest because they supply a clue as to the chemical composition of the system, which is likely to be similar to that in the interstellar medium during the early stages of our Galaxy at the time Mu Cas is thought to have originated.
