The paper derives perturbation equations for the elements a, e, s, Ms, psis, and Omegas of Vinti's intermediate orbit. Poisson terms are eliminated by replacing Beta1, Beta2, and Beta3 with Ms, psis, and Omegas. No singularities appear in the intermediate orbit case. The equations for a, e, and s are rigorous, while those of Ms, psis, and Omegas are accurate to the second order; and using these, a third order theory of artificial satellites can be constructed.
