We present color--magnitude diagrams of the central region of the central--cusp cluster M15. These diagrams were constructed using DAOPHOT on UBVR and Hα CCD images taken with the image--stabilization, high--resolution camera (HRCam) on the Canada--France--Hawaii Telescope in 0.4--0.7'' seeing. We used the second--generation version of DAOPHOT, which allows for a spatially variable point spread function (PSF). Good star subtraction was achieved across the frames despite significant PSF gradients. A central goal of this project is to investigate the cause of the color gradients in M15 reported by Cederbloom et al. (1992, AJ, 103}, 480). The central 7'' of M15 is both bluer and Hα deficient relative to a surrounding comparision region. Similar color gradients have been detected in nine central--cusp clusters in studies by Djorgovski and collaborators. We carried out artificial stars experiments to estimate the completeness and magnitude errors for different regions of the color--magnitude diagram via the pseudo--most likelihood method of Bailyn et al. Comparisons are made between the morphological structure of these diagrams and those for outer regions of M15, as well as other for central--cusp clusters, in an attempt to quantify the stellar population gradients that give rise to the observed color gradients.
