Near-infrared observations of the bright quasar IR 0914-62 including photometry and circular variable filter spectroscopy indicate a steep power law continuum shortward of 2.5 micron. Paschen alpha and possibly Brackett gamma are detected in emission. The line width of Paschen alpha is typical of the broad-line region. No evidence of a dust feature at 3.3 micron is seen. Optical photometry indicates little variations. The continuum from 100 micron to the U band can be represented by a model including a steep distribution of dust as a function of temperature and a relatively cool blue bump (about 7000 K, as expected in the absence of ultraviolet data).
